In total, early 200 people turned out to hear about the FRESCo pilot project on Saturday 23rd and Wednesday 27th of January.
The aim of FRESCo is to provide low-cost, low-carbon heating systems. We are hoping to get 20 households to take part in a pilot scheme over the next year, using a mixture of ground and air-source heat pumps, wood pellet boilers, solar panels and farm-scale wind turbines. The aim is that people taking part in the pilot reduce their bills by around 20-25%.
If you want to take part in the pilot, forms are still available in the Sports Club but will need to be returned by February 7th.
Many thanks for such a high turn out. Hopefully it should mean we have plenty of choice for the households taking part in the pilot and the high turnout will also help to support our grant applications.
The presentation is available to download here, and a report on the meeting is available here.
